Pendant 3 semaines, Stéphane Girard a pu filmer dans ce pays où la mort menace à chaque coin de rue. Il a suivi la vie quotidienne des jeunes Somaliens, entre misère et rêve d’exil en Europe, il s’est fait admettre dans les clans qui rendent la justice à la place de l’état, il a réussi à filmer dans la prison de Mogadiscio, la plus ancienne d’Afrique, la plus dangereuse aussi, où sont entassés à 50 par cellule des centaines de terroristes, enfants et criminels endurcis mélangés.

Il a aussi suivi le maire de la ville qui tente avec des moyens dérisoires de ramener la sécurité dans ses rues. Un combat que l’édile paiera de sa vie.
