Il nous convainc qu'il est très facile de trouver des ressources sur le piratage, sur des sites comme CD Media World, The Crack Network, Astalavista ou GameCopy World.

Luc Fortin nous raconte qu'il est possible pour des internautes de partager leurs ordinateurs avec d'autres et d'avoir ainsi accès à des millions de fichiers pirates, grâce au logiciel Hotline. Ceux qui désirent partager uniquement des fichiers MP3 préféreront Napster, qui peut cependant être modifié avec Wrapster pour partager tout type de fichiers.

Maxime Plante nous recommande d'utiliser un logiciel de cryptographie comme PGP si l'on désire encrypter notre courrier électronique. La version PGP Freeware étant gratuite, nous n'avons plus d'excuses! François Taddei nous propose aussi Magic Folders qui permet de cacher un répertoire sur notre disque dur.

André Boily nous explique où se situe la responsabilité en cas de piratage de logiciels. Si vous êtes technicien et que votre employeur vous demande d'installer le même logiciel sur plusieurs machines, pourriez-vous être poursuivi? Si vous êtes disk-jockey et que votre librairie de MP3 contient des fichiers illégaux, qui peut vous poursuivre?

La sexologue Louise-Andrée Saulnier, animatrice de l'émission Sexe et confidences, discute avec nous de l'impact d'Internet sur la sexualité des individus. Elle nous recommande de nous méfier des attrape-nigauds, des textes non-signés, de la cyberdépendance, etc. Elle nous indique aussi qu'il existe des ressources éducatives utiles.

Benoît Vachon critique le programme "Brancher les familles sur Internet" du gouvernement du Québec. Destiné aux familles qui reçoivent l'allocation familiale versée par la Régie des rentes du Québec, ce programme permet de bénéficier d'une aide financière pour accéder à Internet et pour louer ou acheter un ordinateur.

Réal Provost nous conseille l'ouvrage de référence suivant: Hacking Exposed: Network Security Secrets & Solutions, rédigé par Stuart McClure, George Kurtz, Joel Scambray et publié par la maison d'édition OsborneMcGraw-Hill. Une excellente référence pour comprendre le hacking et les hackers.
