During the Fall of 2020, my college course on the "Theologies of Gender and Identity" was forced to go virtual. This video is one of the pre-recorded lectures from that course that I would like to share with a larger audience. Feel free to respectfully comment and question and I will respond in kind.

This lecture explores the traditional "texts of terror" or "clobber passages" that have been used to justify the marginalization of the LGBTQ people -- namely Genesis 19 (Sodom); Romans 1:26-27; Leviticus 18:22; 20:13; 1 Timothy 1:9-11 // 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; and Genesis 1-2 (Adam and Eve). For each passage, we'll apply exegetical tools to determine whether or not this marginalization is justified.

The format of this lecture features a compilation of previous videos from this channel's Queer Theology series. Most of these videos have been updated and include an additional commentary in between each topic.

With rumors of Zambia being bought off by China.

African leaders must know what they want as they engage China on trade relations, this is a warning from Prof Patrick Lumumba who was commenting on the recently concluded Focac summit in Beijing, China. Lumumba who was is South Africa at the Vaal High Impact leadership summit, also commended Zimbabwean President, Emmerson Mnangagwa on his attempt to bring inclusivity in Zimbabwe.

Lumumba also shared his vision for Africa in 2063
"I see the Chinese coming, be careful. They all started trading with us and then conquered us. Now as you trade with them, be careful as we've be bitten many times before"
“I am amongst some of the people who were saying the meeting was supposed to be held on the African soil discussing African issues with a Chinese delegation so that the needs of Africa are discussed on the African continent.

“China has defined what she wants and have realised that Africa has the resources and China is now exporting to fish to Africa but the question is what is Africa exporting beyond the raw materials and my view is we must ensure that China will not run show in Africa,” he said

This comes at the background of the move by the 44 heads of state to hold a meeting in China and accept a 60 billion debt in the name of fair relations with no strings attached

After successfully escorting Tang Sanzang and recovering the Buddhist scriptures, Sun Wukong ascends to Buddhahood, but ultimately rejects life in the Celestial Court, instead choosing to live on his mountain in peace. However, the Celestial Court is angered that Sun Wukong would disobey them and sends an army led by Erlang Shen to force him to return to the Court. Sun Wukong duels Erlang, but is incapacitated by the circlet that binds him to the Court and is sealed in a stone. However, right before he is sealed, Sun Wukong manages to split his power into six Relics, each one corresponding to one of Wukong's six senses that are scattered and hidden all across China.

Over the next few centuries, the Monkeys of Mount Huaguo, led by their elder the Old Monkey, would send out a number of young warriors to try and recover the Relics so they can revive and free Sun Wukong. One such Monkey (who becomes known as the Destined One) sets out on his quest to find the Relics.

Black Myth: Wukong[a] is a 2024 action role-playing game developed and published by Game Science. The game is inspired by the classical Chinese novel Journey to the West and follows an anthropomorphic monkey based on the character of Sun Wukong from the novel.

Black Myth: Wukong was released for PlayStation 5 and Windows on August 20, 2024, with an Xbox Series X/S version planned for release at a later date. The game received generally favorable reviews from critics. It sold 10 million units as of August 23, making it one of the fastest-selling games of all time.
