Henry VIII did a lot of detestable things during his reign, one would have long lasting effects, lingering around even today. The King wanted to consolidate power and money and without knowing the consequences or perhaps caring, introduced The Buggery Act which would cement anti-gay legislation and anti-LGBTQ+ culture across the globe.
