Beyond Raising Awareness - Arts + Activism with the Center for Artistic Activism- June 17, 2021

The arts are a powerful force but “raising awareness” won’t cut it anymore when we want real social change. In this workshop you’ll get to use some new methods to come up with strategic ideas for using art and activism, and come away with specific tools and methods you can use in your own social justice work.

The Center for Artistic Activism trains and advises organizations, artists and activists to help them increase the efficacy and affecacy of their artistic activism. They conduct innovative research to figure out what exactly efficacy and affecacy mean when it comes to artistic activist projects. And they share our trainings and research findings broadly, to provide the broadest possible access. But mainly, they look for opportunities to infuse advocacy and activism with humor, joy and love.
