A medical doctor by profession, she is the CEO and founder of Bell Family Medical Centers in the United States. Dr. In 2017, Dr. Chihombori-Quao was appointed the African Union ambassador to the US. On October 7, 2019, she received notice that she was no longer "Permanent Ambassador" after she spoke out about France’s continued exploitation of its former colonies. The AU received worldwide backlash for not standing by her.
Dr. Chihombori-Quao founded The African Diaspora Development Institute (ADDI) to provide a one-stop platform for information about Africa. She seeks to reunite African nations and the worldwide Diaspora.
