In this video, we’re going to talk about the health benefits of paprika.
Paprika is made from dried and ground red peppers. Hungary is a major source of paprika. The spice became popular in the 19th century.
When we talk about the health benefits of spices, we’re primarily talking about the phytonutrients in the spice. These phytonutrients are often related to color or pigments.
In paprika, there are various colors—yellow, orange, and red.
The yellow and orange pigments are alpha-carotene and beta-carotene. These are precursors to vitamin A.
Zeaxanthin, lutein, and B-cryptoxanthin are also yellow and orange pigments. These are great for your eyes.
Red pigments include capsanthin and capsorubin.
Together, these phytonutrients create some amazing health benefits. Take a look.
1. Vision - Paprika helps reduce the risk of age-related macular degeneration and cataracts.
2. Anti-inflammatory
3. Anti-cancer
4. Anti-diabetic
5. Suppresses UV-induced skin damage
In summary, paprika can be a great addition to Healthy Keto. Give it a try, and let me know your thoughts on it in the comments below.

The oat (Avena sativa), sometimes called the common oat, is a species of cereal grain grown for its seed, which is known by the same name (usually in the plural, unlike other cereals and pseudocereals). While oats are suitable for human consumption as oatmeal and rolled oats, one of the most common uses is as livestock feed. Oats are a nutrient-rich food associated with lower blood cholesterol when consumed regularly.[1]
Avenins present in oats (proteins similar to gliadin from wheat) can trigger celiac disease in a small proportion of people.[2][3] Also, oat products are frequently contaminated by other gluten-containing grains, mainly wheat and barley. The wild ancestor of Avena sativa and the closely related minor crop, A. byzantina, is the hexaploid wild oat, A. sterilis. Genetic evidence shows the ancestral forms of A. sterilis grew in the Fertile Crescent of the Near East.[6] Oats are usually considered a secondary crop, i.e., derived from a weed of the primary cereal domesticates, then spreading westward into cooler, wetter areas favorable for oats, eventually leading to their domestication in regions of the Middle East and Europe.[6]Oats are best grown in temperate regions. They have a lower summer heat requirement and greater tolerance of rain than other cereals, such as wheat, rye or barley, so they are particularly important in areas with cool, wet summers, such as Northwest Europe and even Iceland. Oats are an annual plant, and can be planted either in autumn (for late summer harvest) or in the spring (for early autumn harvest).

➡️ Packed with Antioxidants
One study compared the antioxidant capacity of 26 different spices and found that cloves were the most potent. Cloves contain a compound known as eugenol which researchers believe to be responsible for most of the impressive health benefits.
➡️ Antibacterial Properties
This is also partly due to the compound eugenol, however, cloves contain lipids and oleic acid which have been shown to play an antibacterial role. Clove essential oil is often used as a mouthwash to treat oral infections.
➡️ Regulate Blood Sugar Levels
Studies found that their properties can help increase the uptake of glucose from the blood to your cells. Ultimately, this helps increase the production of insulin.
➡️ Promote Healthy Bones
Cloves are packed with calcium, phosphorus, boron, magnesium, and manganese which are important minerals that play a major role in healthy bone development. Studies found that the consumption of cloves was linked to increased bone density, bone mineral content, and overall bone strength.
➡️ Help with Digestion
The properties of cloves can increase the amount of gastric mucus that is produced which creates a barrier between the digestive lining and harmful fluids such as stomach acid and bile.
➡️ Prevent Stomach Ulcers
Researchers believe that eugenol helps increase gastric mucus, which protects the entire digestive system and helps prevent stomach ulcers from developing.
➡️ Reduce Inflammation
Inflammation is a natural part of the body's immune response and serves an important role in healing injuries and fighting off foreign invaders such as chemicals and microorganisms. However, if it persists for a period of time, it becomes chronic inflammation which has been linked to some of the world's most deadly diseases.
➡️ Boost the Immune System
This is an indirect benefit of cloves that occurs due to their ability to reduce chronic inflammation. Chronic inflammation is a key contributor to some of the world's most deadly diseases. Therefore, by reducing inflammation in the body, you can indirectly provide a boost to your immune system.
➡️ Treat a Toothache
The compound eugenol found in cloves can serve as a natural anesthetic, which can reduce pain that stems from a sore tooth. One study was performed to test the effectiveness of cloves compared to benzocaine, which is a topical anesthetic used in the dental setting.
➡️ Improve Liver Health
Researchers believe that the properties of cloves can play a role in reversing cirrhosis and reducing the risk of developing liver cancer. Studies found them to be effective in decreasing the amount of a specific enzyme that is involved in the development of liver disease.

0:00 Honey
0:19 Honey benefits
0:48 The downside to honey
1:00 The type of honey to consume
Today I want to cover the health benefits of honey. We’re going to be talking about raw honey, not pasteurized honey.
Raw honey benefits:
• It’s anti-microbial
• It’s anti-inflammatory
• It’s anti-allergy
• It helps lower blood pressure
• It has B-vitamins, magnesium, calcium, and potassium
Honey is a sweetener that also has a lot of good stuff. However, it still has 50% fructose and 50% glucose. This means it can slow down your weight loss, and it has a relatively high glycemic index.
Certain types of honey, like tupelo honey, are much lower on the glycemic index. If you want to consume honey, you may want to try raw manuka honey. This type of raw honey is unprocessed, and it has a lot of great properties.
Be sure that the honey you buy is raw and not pasteurized. Pasteurized honey is almost like pure sugar, and it’s potential health-boosting properties have been cooked away.
