The Vietnam War began in good faith, by good people with good intentions. But a combination of American overconfidence, Cold War tensions and imperialist tendencies the Americans had previously fought so hard against, made the war in Vietnam one of America’s darkest pages in its short but dense history. By the end of the war, more than 58,000 Americans would die, as too would 250,000 South Vietnamese soldiers. Over 1 million North Vietnamese soldiers and Viet Cong guerillas would also perish as well as over 2 million civilians’ from both the north and the south, and thousands more from Laos and Cambodia.

The Vietnam War brought everything into question. The rationalization of destroying villages in order to save them. America’s morality in the face of My Lai. The meaning of free-fire zones, shooting anything that moved as soldiers placed a cheapness on the lives of civilians. The falsification of body counts to increase kill death ratios. The unimportance of battle as men charged up hills because their generals told them too and after losing one platoon or two platoons they marched away to leave the hill for the enemy. Pride allowed the most unimportant battles to be blown into extravaganzas because America couldn't lose, and she couldn't retreat and because it didn't matter how many lives were lost to prove that point.

Got Talent is a British talent show TV format developed by Simon Cowell's SYCOtv company and owned by Fremantle Media Ltd. It has spawned spin-offs in over 70 countries, in what is now referred to as the 'Got Talent' format, similar to that described by Fremantle of the 'Idol' and 'The X Factor' singing show competition formats. Ukraine’s daring incursion into Russia is showing “no sign of winding down”, FRANCE 24’s Emmanuelle Chaze said, pointing to Moscow calling in more reinforcements to fight off Kyiv’s troops in Kursk. “Thousands of Ukrainian soldiers are still trying to advance within Russian territory ... this is very much felt by Russia, we see the chaos that this has created in border regions, not just in Kursk but in neighbouring Belgorod, Bryansk”, Chaze said, reporting from Kramatorsk.

Un backlink est un lien entrant vers votre site.
Lorsqu'un autre site fait un lien vers une page de votre site web, vous avez alors un backlink sur cette page.

Pour améliorer votre référencement ce concept est très important à saisir.
Plus vous avez de bons backlinks et plus vous avez de chances d'être bien placé dans les résultats de Google.

Généralement les autres sites web font des backlinks vers votre site lorsqu'ils trouvent que votre site est de qualité ou lorsque vous proposer une contenu différenciant.

Potentiellement vous recevez alors la visite d'Internautes venant d'autres sites.

Mais alors en quoi c'est important en terme de positionnement dans un moteur de
recherche ?

Même si la réalité du moteur de Google est devenu au fil des années beaucoup plus complexes, ce qu'il faut comprendre, c'est que chaque backlink que votre site reçoit est considéré un peu comme un vote.

Et plus vous recevez de vote, plus Google va estimer que votre site est de qualité.  Normal !

Intégré tout de même qu'il faut de « bons backlink », tout n’est pas bon à prendre.
Pour améliorer les résultats de son moteur de recherche, Google a rendu cette notion de vote un plus compliqué à maitriser. Il va estimer désormais que tous les votes n'ont pas la même valeur.

Par exemple, si votre site parle de Cinéma et que vous recevez un lien depuis un autre site qui parle de Cinéma, cela semble plus pertinent que si il s'agit d'un site qui parle d'animaux par exemple.
On comprend ainsi que le contexte d'un backlink est important.

Et puis, ce qui fait une bonne recommandation, un bon vote, et donc un bon backlink, c'est aussi la réputation de celui qui vous fait cette recommandation.
Si une personne dans votre entourage est reconnu pour être un spécialiste en cinéma, vous aurez plutôt confiance en lui pour vous conseiller un film. Et bien, c’est la même chose pour un bon backlink. Un site populaire ou un site référent dans son secteur et qui reçoit lui même un nombre important de backlink, aura un effet plus important sur votre référencement lorsqu'il fera un backlink vers votre site.

Il vous faut alors des backlinks dans votre secteur d'activité et sur des sites de la meilleure qualité possible.
