Africa Is Angry! PLO Lumumba Sends SHOCKWAVES on Haiti Crisis
Haiti, the third largest country in the Caribbean and the most populous in the Caribbean Community, boasts an estimated population of 11 million. Despite being the first black country to regain independence, Haiti has struggled to maintain peace for an extended period. Despite numerous peace missions, including efforts by the USA, the ongoing influence of gangs has thwarted these endeavors.
In this episode of LUMUMBA Explains, the focus shifts to the persistent issue of gang violence plaguing Haiti. Despite previous unsuccessful peace missions, gang violence continues to persist. Kenya's proposal to dispatch troops to Haiti for a peacekeeping mission has been met with legal obstacles. Nevertheless, Kenya remains steadfast in its commitment to lead the U.N.-approved security mission in Haiti. While some view this decision negatively, considering it a misjudgment, others perceive it as the USA strategically maneuvering Kenya as a pawn on a political chessboard.
